2023 rocks of bawn

Only early ripening Dijon clones grown on upthrusted ocean bottom soils were used in this beautiful chardonnay. The dry farmed vines yielded smaller clusters of perfectly ripe fruit well into October in 2023. The fruit was hand-harvested and whole-cluster pressed and partially barrel fermented with a large portion remaining in stainless steel to preserve the fresh vibrancy of the wine. Our team employed an elevage of neutral French oak barrels and stainless steel utilizing Bâtonnage to impart a creamy mouthfeel and retaining the brightness expected from Willamette Valley Chardonnay.
